A glass container plant is two factories glued together. The HotEnd pulls molten glass from the furnace and forms containers; the ColdEnd inspects those containers for defects and either passes them to packaging or rejects them to cullet.

When the ColdEnd finds a defect, the HotEnd needs to know quickly — an hour of bad forming is thousands of defective containers. In most plants, that communication happens via handheld radio, shift logbooks, and running between buildings. We built HECE to do it properly.
